From a budget motel to a riverside condo this is one to consider. The motels and condos are well located with excellent fishing on the Chattahoochee River, and the City of Helen public park right across the street, and just a mild walk to the shops in Helen, and a very short walk to a few of the best local type bars such as the hayloft, and The Watering Hole.

The motel rooms are budget rooms, but kept very clean. There are a few with small kitchenettes, and the motels and condo’s both have access to a decent size clean pool for floating around in on those hot steamy Georgia dog days of summer. The motel does have one picnic table with a grill for cooking out, but right across the street is the City of Helen Georgia Public Park which has plenty of picnic table’s right along the Chattahoochee River along with grills. The condos are directly across the street from the motels section, and are a true Helen Georgia visitor’s paradise.

The condos are very nice, and offer varying amenities from efficiency to fully furnished kitchens, hot tubs and Jacuzzis, fireplaces, with a excellent river and mountain view. Grills and picnic tables also available for grilling out those nice fresh rainbow trout you caught on the river that day. You can see tubers floating by throughout the day, along with the occasional trout fisherman.

During one of my stays in the riverside condos, I had a great experience. I got into a conversation with one of the trout fisherman wading along outside of my condo with a stringer full of fresh rainbow trout. After a while of talking, he offered up a few of his catch to me, and we grilled out a handful of fresh rainbow trout right there by the river. I made a new friend which is always nice.

I have stayed in the motel rooms, and in the condos, but have yet to stay in any of their cabins.
