Bessie Mae’s housed in the old historic Dyer store which was built in 1892 by Mr. Dyer himself. Bessie Mae’s is one of the finest one of a kind collectible shops in the north Georgia mountains. Stop in and cozy up by the same old wood stove that kept Mr. Dyer himself warm on those cold winter days over 100 years ago. Take a short 500’ walk back behind the store for a look at some deep southern folk’s history as you take a stroll through the old historical cemetery behind the store. There’s even the tombstone of Mr. Dyers brother John.

Traveling Ga. 400 North from I-285 towards Helen Georgia, after Ga. 400 North ends,
Continue straight approximately 5 ½ miles and turn right onto Hwy 52 (at Farmhouse Produce)
Bessie Mae’s is approximately one half mile on your right.
