You have never tasted broiled trout like this. They have a secret that I would die to find out. I fish for trout all the time, I consider myself a specialist at preparing trout grilled, broiled, or baked. I don’t know what they marinade this trout in prior to cooking it, but hands down they have me and anyone else I have ever tried trout from beat.

I do occasionally break down and pay a little bit of money to try some one’s trout, but rarely am I ever this swept away from the mere moist tender flakes of trout from this one place.

This restaurant offers lively deck, and somewhat elegant indoor dining with its share of the motorcycle crowd along with live entertainment on weekends. Probably some of the best food of its kind available in or anywhere near Helen Georgia. This place is worth a nice motorcycle ride just to eat here. There are plenty of beer choices on tap, along with imported and domestic choices that will make any beer drinker happy.

The steaks are a bit pricy, but trust me when I say you get what you pay for. I have had the New York strip, and was very pleased, but I still can’t get over the trout long enough to order any of the other steaks, but I do plan to break away from the trout on my next Helen Georgia visit, and venture out on this menu. I have never been disappointed by anything I have ever ordered from here, and this is one of my regular spots.

If you’re pushing a budget or just want a small something for a pleasing fairly in expensive lunch, Hahn’s offers a selection of lower priced items such as the Reuben sandwich. All sandwiches are served with a excellent German potato salad that will instantly awaken your taste buds, and add a twist to the taste of any sandwich on the menu. If you have never tried German potato salad, make it a point to stop in here on your visit to Helen Georgia and try it.
