Helen Georgia Hofbrau Hotel

Wake up early in the morning to the sound of the Chattahoochee River rushing by your room. This is the place to stay that gives you almost everything Helen Georgia has to offer in one spot. You can wake up, walk a few feet from the back door of your hotel room, catch fresh mountain rainbow trout, walk a few feet back to the back deck, and throw them on a grill. If you enjoy trout fishing, and grilling out your catch then you will choose this one hotel as the perfect spot to stay.

You also get the convenience of being a hop skip and a jump from the Helen Georgia shops, so you don’t have to worry about parking. Just stay parked at your room and walk. You are also a very short walking distance to Betty’s Country Store. The décor of the rooms is somewhat old style from perhaps the 70’s, but I personally love the old style down to earth environment. However, have no doubt; these rooms are absolutely sparkling clean.

The back patio has grill, tables for dining on, and a swing where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a front row view of the Chattahoochee River running through Helen Georgia.

Here’s a hint if you want some fresh Rainbow Trout for dinner. If you fish around the bridge just a few feet from the patio, you will have your limit pretty quick. Just start by casting and letting your line float under the bridge towards the middle, and slowly work your way down till your line is floating just fifty feet or so past the bridge. You can catch your limit in this spot alone.

There are several rooms to choose from, there are the rooms in the three story section, all of which are not overlooking the river, and then there is the one story building that opens directly onto the patio with quick easy access to the Chattahoochee River (These are my favorite rooms. Then there are a few rooms housed above the Hofbrau restaurant that have high decks overlooking the Chattahoochee River maybe twenty feet above the river.

If you want to dine out, there is Hafbrau Lounge which is next to and part of the Hofbrau Hotel with excellent food and drinks in a quiet and romantic setting sure to please even the pickiest visitor.
