Helen Georgia - Farmers Market Café (Temporarily Closed)

This place has it all, price, atmosphere, quality, and service. Before I start my day fishing, hiking, or hunting in or around Helen Georgia I must start with a big hearty breakfast. Farmers Market Café delivers every time. I grew up eating at breakfast buffets my whole life such as the ever infamous Shoney’s breakfast bar which was a party animal’s savior all through the 80’s. The one thing I have always hated as an adult about most breakfast bars is that they tend to all have that same breakfast bar taste. You will not get that at the farmers Market café in Helen Georgia. The taste of the breakfast buffet items here are unique.

The atmosphere is old country diner, with dim comfortable lighting, old style large plank hardwood floors, and two large fireplaces to add to the flare. I have visited this place on a chilly morning while the fireplaces were lit, and found it difficult to leave the atmosphere. What a way to start a morning.

The quality of food is unsurpassed for country style food in Helen Georgia.
The queen cut prime rib is an excellent dinner choice, and you would have to travel quite a few miles outside of Helen Ga., and pay a great deal more money to get a prime rib at this price that tastes this good. The prime rib is cooked to perfection, and about one of the juiciest prime ribs I’ve ever had. I am very choosy about prime rib, so I was leery at first to even try it, but trust me, you will not be disappointed with this choice.

Though all the menu items are excellent, the prime rib, and fresh rainbow trout are among my favorites that I order during most visits. The fresh rainbow trout are sized for the perfect taste, and size does matter when it comes to rainbow trout.

The service here is always first class, you can tell the folks here take their customers, and food seriously. There is always a friendly and welcome feel, and the pace most of the time is slow enough so you never feel rushed, or like your server is in a mad rush to get you in and out.

If you’re looking for that perfect little quiet spot to get excellent food, service, and atmosphere, at a price that won’t kill your getaway Helen Georgia budget, this is it. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this is a spot to go to several times during you’re stay.
