Helen Georgia Viele Margaritas

If you’re a biker, or just love motorcycles, margaritas, and a mild party type atmosphere, this is the spot for you. This restaurant is essentially a very large partially enclosed deck overlooking the Chattahoochee River almost smack dab in the heart of the Helen Georgia commercial area. Located right behind Paul’s on the river, this has become the Helen Georgia party spot.

Patrons dine on burgers, wraps, hot dogs, sipping margaritas, and ordering draft and bottled beer while hootin and hollering at the tubers floating down the Chattahoochee River through Helen Georgia. This is a perfect place to spend an early evening, or hanging out in the shaded area of the deck on a hot Georgia day. The place is always packed throughout the day, and there is live music played on the stage throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. There is even the occasional female flasher at the sitting area overlooking the Chattahoochee River vying for attention from a river tuber, or a trout fisherman wading down the river.

This place is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. And they are seasonal, opened only May through October they open at 11:00am. There walls are lined with ten large TV’s for those who can’t miss a sporting event. I am not a drinker, or much of a socialite, but I have made several stops there while wading down the Chattahoochee River trout fishing to grab a quick bite to eat.

I have had the steak and the chicken wrap, and they were both excellent, but I really have never had anything that compares to their $6.50 Black Angus Burger. I love my burgers, and this one hits the top of the list for probably one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. If all you do stop in during lunch and try one of these burgers just as something to hold you over till dinner, you have got to try one of these burgers before you leave Helen Georgia. They have more brands of bottled beer domestic and imported than one can list, full Liter mugs of draft beer starting at $8.00 and $5.00 for a refill.
